Carboxylated modified cellulose nanocrystals are needle-shaped nanomaterials obtained by carboxylation modification of natural plant cellulose. The surface contains carboxy groups and is well dispersed in water with PH=5~14. The fiber diameter is 4~10nm and the length is 100~500nm. Its thixotropy is extremely strong, and its thixotropy index is adjustable between 7 and 9. It has little effect on the system viscosity after addition. It can be used in coatings and inks, hand-shaped liquid crystal materials, anti-counterfeiting materials, drug sustained release, medical excipients, dispersants, etc.
